About the Blog

All our lives, we hear that age-old cliche to follow your heart. But in my experience, you can't always rely on your heart to make the best decisions. The heart can be fickle. And for the great majority of my life, my heart has been easily swayed in its desire to seek after love. That is, until I found Christ.

A life lived for God has done its job of steadying my heart. Of teaching it where to be rooted -- for where your heart is, there will your treasure be also. Only when my heart is steady in that Love which surpasses all can I trust it to lead me. Only with this steady heart can I make sense of all the other beautiful aspects of this life: relationships, faith, prayer.

This blog sprung up out of my love for writing and for sharing my reflections on the most beautiful moments of everyday life and how this messy little heart is continually made steady in those moments.

Thanks for stopping by! Here, you can find reflections on Scripture, big life experiences, little life lessons, prayer life struggles, relationships, and so much more.

Here, you'll also be able to follow my work and adventures as a missionary with Saint Paul's Outreach (www.spo.org).

About the Author

Hey, y'all. I'm Catie.

I'm not from Texas, despite the fact that I say y'all.
If you want to know why, you'll just have to get to know me ;).

I'm a 22-year-old recent graduate from Franciscan University, where I earned bachelor's degrees in Theology and Catechetics.
For the next two years, I'll be serving as a missionary with Saint Paul's Outreach -- I have a whole page devoted to that here.
I have four younger siblings all under the age of 13 that I adore.
I love coffee, Harry Potter, letters, cute stationary, color-coded planners, and margaritas.
My friends mean everything to me.
I spent four months living and traveling in Europe and I can't wait to go back.
I love swimming in oceans and hiking in mountains.
I've always loved writing.
My best friends are St. Clare, St. Peter, and Pope St. John Paul II. They're rockin'.
St. Thérèse is also trying to be my friend, so we'll see where that goes.

I'm the one on the right :)
xo, Catie
